About Us

Canvey Community Choir

  • The Canvey Community Choir attends community events on Canvey Island and also within the Castle Point area and has at times, if required, gone further afield.

  • Since its inception the Choir has been visiting local residential and nursing homes to provide Sing-Along entertainment throughout the year and Carol Concerts at Christmas.

  • The Choir does not ask for any payment for its attendance at events or shows.   It is therefore important for the Choir to raise the necessary funds,  to cover all expenses, through donations, fundraising events and a once a year fundraising concert.

Previous performances

The Choir have previously performed at the Castle Point Show,  Annual Remembrance Service,  Armed Forces Day,  Christmas Tree Decoration Festival, various fundraising concerts such as  Guide dogs for the Blind,  Local Hospices, The Mayor's Charity Concert,  Variety Evenings,  also singing with local schools.

The Choir sang at St Nicholas Church in April 2022 for the St George's Day Castle Point Mayor's charity and raised funds of £800 for the Canvey Island Transport Museum.
